A Heavy Metal Roguelike Shooter |
Lisbon, Portugal –October 31, 2024– Indie game development studio ONTOP has announced that Devil’s Purge, the upcoming action shooter extravaganza fused with roguelike mechanics played in the real world, is now available exclusively on iOS. Devil’s Purge is an augmented reality roguelike shooter where players become exorcists by using their phones to battle demons and purge the Devil. With the iPhone camera, players reveal monstrous beings that must be exorcised using the device’s flashlight, requiring physical agility to evade attacks and sharp accuracy to strike at demons. Players receive blessings from archangels like Saint Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael to enhance their attack, defence and reaction abilities, allowing for unique builds and strategies. The game features 60 randomly generated levels and various miracles from King Jesus Christ, ensuring high replayability and diverse gameplay experiences. The game offers quick 5 to 10-minute gameplay sessions with a heavy metal soundtrack and a distinctive art style, delivering a hardcore experience without free-to-play mechanics. It includes real band music through a partnership with the record label Raging Planet and geolocation to encourage visits to churches for extra powers in an exclusive ad-free iOS premium experience with no in-app purchases. |
