| Shanghai, China – April 28, 2023 – Mere weeks after Stanford University released a ground-breaking paper on AI characters populating a simulated village (https://arxiv.org/abs/2304.03442), independent development studio Team Miaozi showcases their tech demo which has similar AI-controlled characters play an actual game.The video features full AI-controlled NPCs responding in real-time. It uses an internally developed AI platform for intent recognition and translating dialogue into game actions to make the AI characters perform various ingame activities.While various developers have integrated chatbots into their game, having AI controlled characters interpret and interact with the game state in real time is a world-first.For the conversation side of the AI characters, Team Miaozi partnered with AI developer Inworld (https://inworld.ai/about), which has raised over $50m in venture capital and strives to develop realistic AI controlled characters to create engaging and immersive gaming experience. |

| Cygnus Enterprises is currently in Early Access on Steam. It is an action RPG game that combines base management elements, set in the alien frontier world of Mytilus. Players will battle against hostile alien creatures, explore exotic locations, and gather resources to construct buildings and research new technologies to manage their base.The AI update is still under development and not yet available to players. Team Miaozi and Inworld are currently working on improving the underlying technology. |
