C2G today announced that the company is now offering a complete family of HDMI® HDBaseT extenders for the delivery of uncompressed HDMI video and audio signals — in addition to VGA, IR, RS232, USB-C, USB 2.0, and analog audio — over a single network patch cable to displays in conference rooms, huddle rooms, classrooms, lecture halls, and more.
“Our HDMI HDBaseT extenders are the perfect solutions for any commercial installation where AV signals need to be distributed — with USB and control signals alongside them — beyond the length limitations of standard HDMI cabling,” said Jennifer Crotinger, C2G Product Manager, C2G, a brand of Legrand. “For integrators, the devices embody the four pillars that set C2G apart from other solutions on the market: testing, quality, convenience, and confidence.”
The C2G family of HDMI HDBaseT extenders includes 16 transmitters, receivers, and transmitter/receiver kits with included power adapters. Leveraging the latest HDBaseT chipset technology, the devices support resolutions up to 4K at 60Hz (4:2:0) and extend single or dual HDMI sources up to 130 feet or 328 feet over a single Cat6a cable. To meet the needs of any commercial application, the family includes solutions with support for:
- VGA resolutions up to 1920×1200 at 60Hz
- Visual lossless compression (VLC)
- USB-C pass-through
- High-speed USB 2.0 pass-through for KVM control of devices such as USB cameras, keyboards, and mice
- One-way and bi-directional IR and RS232 pass-through
- Analog audio pass-through
- Multichannel audio formats including PCM 2.0/5.1/7.1, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Atmos, DTS-HD Master Audio and DTS:X
- API command control through transmitter Micro USB ports or receiver RS232 ports
- Automatic switching between input sources
- CEC pass-through for central control of all HDMI-compatible devices
Transmitters are offered in box and wall plate form factors, with wall plate transmitters available in single- and dual-gang configurations. Receivers are available with built-in scaling, in addition to S/PDIF outputs for the de-embedding of connected audio devices for audio distribution. All devices are HDCP 2.2-compliant to ensure a secure connection between the source and display. For greater installation flexibility, Power over Cable (PoC) and Power over HDBaseT (PoH) support mean that only one power adapter is required at the transmitter or receiver to power both units.
C2G’s HDMI HDBaseT extension family is available through retailers and direct to users from C2G. Each solution is backed by a five-year warranty.

About C2G
When you need reliable connections, be sure to turn to C2G and our high-performance cabling and connectivity solutions. We’ve grown into respectable players in the IT and AV industries, though we still retain our scrappy vibe from the early days. And we’re not above having the occasional mascot. (We miss you, Cable Guy and Captain Connector!)
That’s what you get with C2G – an incredible focus on delivering unique, value-added solutions along with a singular commitment to creating lasting, dependable partnerships. It’s not unheard of for executives to be seen repackaging products in shipping or for a sales rep to hand deliver a rush order when unusual circumstances arise. We’ve been that way since our founders ditched their 1984 Salem mall PC resell store in Ohio to focus on expanding the custom cables, they made in the back that were selling like hotcakes.
We use premium components and the latest technologies to keep pace with the fast-moving changes in AV technology. Quality is so important to us; we have our own manufacturing plant to ensure our products meet our demanding expectations. We put our cable performance second to none and make sure we comply with industry specifications across RoHS, R.E.A.C.H. and WEEE. Check out our 7,000+ stocked solutions or ask about custom kits. Seriously, let’s get connected.
